The group foundation stone was laid down by Mr. Sajjan Kumar Patwari and his three sons viz., Mr. Sunil Kumar Patwari, Mr. Sanjib Kumar Patwari and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Patwari, a Kolkata based renowned business family. “Rashmi Group” has 1.20 MTPA State-Of-Art Integrated Steel manufacturing facility comprises of viz., Pellet, Sinter, Pig iron, Sponge Iron, Ductile Iron Pipe, Billet, TMT & Wire Rod and 0.96 MTPA of Cement manufacturing facility. The Kitty of products also include Ferro Alloys and 75 MW of Captive Power Generation Plant. The group is planning to expand its manufacturing facilities to 2 MTPA of Integrated Steel Plant and 2.50 MTPA of Cement Plant. Rashmi Group provides specialized services in dredging and land reclamation works, of any size and nature. It also specialized in PCs, Laptops & Netbook with Reach Infocom.
Rashmi Group enjoys “Category- A” rating from external credit rating agencies. The group has a Turnover of Rs. 3,500 Crores and build a Net worth of Rs. 3,000 Crores during the last decade. Rs. 2,800 Crores has been invested in the manufacturing facilities and the group is the only debt free steel conglomerate in the Eastern India.
The group is having its corporate Office at 39, Shakespeare Sarani, 6th Floor, Kolkata, West Bengal and factories located at Kharagpur and Jhargram. It has been awarded ‘Ultra Mega Project’ status by Govt. of West Bengal. Along with the aforesaid activities group is also engaged in import/export of Mineral & Mineral based products.
